Rambam Applied Neurophysiology Lab – Products Definition
As part of a branding initiative for the Applied Neurophysiology Lab at Rambam, we developed a unified visual language for three advanced medical technologies supporting patient rehabilitation. Each product’s name, purpose, and graphic expression were carefully aligned to create a cohesive and meaningful brand identity. The challenge was to translate complex therapeutic tools into approachable, medically-respectful, and visually distinctive designs.
-
Center: @tend
Centering attention – a productivity enhancement tool for patients with ADD. The name “Center” reflects the tool’s core function: helping patients draw their focus inward and regain cognitive control. The design uses concentric, centered compositions that evoke the idea of mental alignment and calm concentration. The visual identity communicates a quiet pull toward the core – a metaphor for regaining focus in a scattered mind
-
Wave: @tension
Riding the wave – a protective interface for exposure therapy in chronic pain patients. “Wave” speaks to the emotional and physical fluctuations patients experience during exposure therapy. This tool serves as a safeguard and feedback mechanism that helps regulate tension. The design features fluid, wave-like forms that suggest movement, adaptability, and emotional resilience – aligning with the therapeutic journey of gradually confronting and softening pain responses.
-
Focus: EyeCon
Focusing connection – a communication restoration tool for patients with impaired consciousness. “Focus” and “EyeCon” (a play on “icon” and “eye”) emphasize the tool’s reliance on eye-tracking to restore a basic channel of communication. The graphic language centers on sharp, clean geometries that mimic the form of an eye, symbolizing attention, presence, and the re-establishment of human connection even when speech is not possible.
